Zaidy was always very makbid that every member of the family would tzeil sefira. He would remind each person, sometimes multiple times, to make sure they counted. My mother recalls that before she was married Zaidy would remind her every day. Even if she would go to a friend's house during sefira, Zaidy would call or have someone else call and remind her to count that day.
